Guilty Crush 5

Colin_farrellNow I know he's a skank. And I know he looks like Michael le Vell (Kevin from Corrie). And I don't know whether or not he can act. And I know home-made pornos are tacky*.

But he makes me laugh. I love the fact he tried to get it on with 70 year old Eileen Atkins (even if that just means he's got a tick-list and wanted her for his 65+ category). I love that he doesn't seem to give a shit. And I've never been into the whole bad boy thing, but for him I'd make an exception. Anyway, he loves his mammy.

* and if you're of a delicate nature you might want to avoid google image searching him**
** although he does appear to be very well-endowed***
*** and there's some boy-on-boy photos, Angie!

*UPDATE* I just watched a bit of the video. Yowser. And also ugh.

Guilty Crush 4

JodyYou may not think Jody Latham is a guilty crush. But, you see, the character he plays on Shameless, Lip, was supposed to be 15 in the first series. And I fancied him anyway. Even though I'm *cough* old enough to be his mum. But it's okay cos Jody Latham is 24. So that's fine. No, really, it is.

I love Lip. He's got that husky voice, he's extremely sexy, and if there's ever a film made of Zoe Heller's Notes on a Scandal, Jody would be perfect for the part of the schoolboy (as long as they make it soon). Even the most respectable teacher could be tempted by the little saucepot. Or so I would imagine.

Oh and I feel it would be remiss of me not to share this pic with you.

Guilty Crush 3

Last week Zoe nominated Jason Lee as Earl in My Name Is Earl. Totally with you there, Zoe. Love him. Never fancied Jason Lee in anything else and I don't know if it's the moustache or what, but I LOVE Earl. (I love Randy too, but in a different way.)

Earl

Oh and Jonathan - Kiefer isn't a guilty crush. Kiefer is a perfectly reasonable crush. Maybe not in the 80s, but just like Patrick Dempsey, he's growed up good.

This week's is a move away from the Alpha males of the last couple of weeks ...

Mr_giles

Yes, the more I watch Buffy, the more I love Angel (Although as of the episode I watched today, he's gone! Gone!), but the more I fancy Mr Giles. I want to steam up his specs and pop the buttons on his waistcoat. I bet there's a hot bod under all that tweed.

He's just so, so .. sensitive and yet masterful. Intelligent and emotional. And I love how he clearly cares for Buffy. And how he's developed a sense of humour. And he was great in that episode where he had sex with Buffy's mom. And in that terrible episode where Jenny was killed. And everyone has teacher fantasies don't they? Don't they?

Guilty Crush 2

So last week we had nominations for Ronan Keating, Piers Morgan and Morgan Spurlock.

I can't actually see the appeal of Ronan Keating at all. He's just an annoyance. (And thankfully I haven't heard his cover of Iris yet. David claims it's a mullering on a par with Westlife's Mandy *shudder*.) Piers Morgan - who absolutely wasn't nominated by Ms Mac - I can sort of see. He's got that smarmy/charming public schoolboy thing and he clearly doesn't give a shit. Plus he hates Jeremy Clarkson so that's one in his favour. Morgan Spurlock I'm totally on board with, Diane.
Morgan_spurlock
I mean, he's not unattractive, physically, but it's his passion and humour that make him attractive to me. Also, how much he clearly loves his girlfriend.

I feel quite bad about this week's man:
Tonysoprano
I know, I know, and me a feminist, but if it wasn't wrong, it wouldn't be a guilty crush now, would it?

Just in case anyone doesn't know him, it's Tony Soprano, mob boss of The Sopranos. He's not attractive, but there's something sexy about him in that old caveman, hit me over the head, drag me away for some hot action way. It's a bit of a problem that he might well have a heart attack during said hot action - or go and whack someone immediately after - but let's not worry about that.

Yes, he's a pig, but he's a sexy pig. Isn't he?

Guilty Crush

I'm introducing a new weekly, um, thingie. Remember how I used to have Hubba Hubba Tuesday (or whatever it was called)? Well now it's going to be Guilty Crush Tuesday (and, yes, I know today's Wednesday, but I was out all day yesterday and I can't think of anything else to blog about today except that George Clooney's been spotten in Hoylake on the Wirral which is where I'm from (the Wirral, not Hoylake) and even though he's there for the golf, which makes me fancy him a little bit less, the thought that he's there at all, walking streets I've walked, or at least driven down, many times is so depressing that I can't even bear to think about it and am certainly unable to blog about it). So let's hear it for the men you shouldn't fancy but do anyway.

And I'm starting with a doozy.

ClintonNow I don't know much about his politics (or about politics at all), but I always heard good things about him (except someone once mentioned something about him bombing somewhere he shouldn't have) and he looks pretty good in comparison to the current Prez. Plus I saw him giving some speech or other and he was so passionate and articulate and doesn't that make a nice change?

And I know the whole Lewinski thing was pretty distasteful and the lying wasn't particularly attractive, but it also gives him that loveable rogue type of thing which I know is not feminist of me but I can't help it. When I saw him on that body language show at a funeral and laughing until he noticed the cameras then wiping away an imaginary tear, it only made me like him more. Oh, Bill, you are a one!

I know it's wrong, but there it is. Now. Let the shouting commence! Oh and if you like, you can nominate future guilty crushes for our perusal. Just leave a comment stating who and why.
