Because I've grown to loathe John McCain and Sarah Palin so very, very much, I'd almost forgotten that, whatever happens in the next few weeks, at the beginning of 2009 we'll be saying goodbye to George Walker Bush.
Surely, even if McCain gets in (and, of course, I desperately hope he doesn't), he can't be as bad as Bush. Can he? (Can he?!)

Having seen him speaking, I think he can! Scary, isn't it?

Lets hope he doesn't. It really is a scary prospect. Love the countdown clock!

I think John McCain is GWB Part II. I get shivers down my spine when I think he might get elected. Come on America, don't let us down!!

I think he could easily be as bad - he has more of a brain, and that makes him dangerous...

God forbid!!!!!

For me the most scary thing of all is that given McCain's age and health, we could be left with Sarah Palin in charge over there...

I don't know if he can--but she certainly would be!

Now, that would be scary, Cathy. Palin as the Preznit of the US.

Yeah, I think I blocked out the possibility of Palin as President. In fact, each time I read your comments, I had a moment of staring, shuddering horror. It's unthinkable. I am afeared...

We here in America are NOT going to let you down! I think we've got this one!! Of course, it took losing the entire world economy, the planet's climate, and many of the important parts of our constitutional freedoms to get this country to look seriously at a Democrat, but I think we've done it! Keep fingers crossed, though, just in case.

Thanks, Sandi. I'll hold you to that! ;)

Well, look how the last one turned out? Although a non-sex scandal seems like small potatoes now!
