Happy Birthday, Matt and Luke!
I know that most of you reading this will be rolling your eyes and laughing, but I know there will be at least two of you (Hi, Suzi! Hi, Sarah!) who will understand...
Matt and Luke Goss are 40 today. 40! How can that possibly be? (And how the hell old does that make me?!)
Until a few minutes ago, I was thinking about it from the point of view of, "How did we all get so old?" and "Don't they look good on it?" but as I typed the title to this post, my eyes filled up.
Good grief. It never goes away. Sigh.
Anyway. Happy birthday, Matt and Luke. Clearly, I still love you lots...

Whatever happened to poor old Craig?

"Poor old Craig" is an extremely successful music industry bigwig, Emily! He used to manage Pink and last year he was "spotted" on a date with Cat Deeley! (He's not 40 til next April.)

I think you'll find that Craig's real name is actually Ken.

I am more bothered by the fact that I never realised they were twins! I have missed so much in my life, really I have. x

How on earth could you not know they were twins?! It's the only thing most people *do* know about them!!
Btw, was lovely to see you at the weekend and I will be blogging about it as soon as I get myself organised! :)

Happy birthday, Luke (I don't like Matt, he wants them to go on that reunion thing). To think I've been a fan for two decades... gah, that makes me old.
(Got here via a shared item on Google Reader. And I work at Canongate, so I know who you are and I know where you live, bwahahaha.)

Bloody hell, Andrea, I've never been *menaced* by anyone in publishing before! LOL! (Are you looking to add some contemporary female fiction to your list, btw ;))
And who is sharing *this* on Google? Slow news day?
And why don't you want them to do the reunion? Wouldn't you like to see them? Matt should do it on his own. A monkey could do Luke's job. *ducks*
(And I'm kidding - kidding! I remember what an angry mob of Bros fans looks like and I'm way too old to deal with it now.)
Phew.

I nearly told someone at work that it is their 40th today but thankfully stopped myself in time!
That picture made me gasp at their loveliness (does that say love lines?)

Thankyouthankyouthankyou!!! I was wondering all day whether you would mention their birthday and you didn't disappoint. They are still gorgeous and I would be on the front row every night for a reunion gig.
Yesterday I went over to Virginia Water (the scene of one of my best Matt days) and all the way round kept saying "This is where we played American football with Matt" "This is where we bought ice cream with Matt" "This is where we sat on the grass with Matt"

40!! Bless them. Still as handsome as ever!
Posted by: Sarah | 29 September 2008 at 05:57 PM
How can they be 40?
I mean that would make me around 32.... feck... I'm 32.
Ah the memories of sending birthday cards every year *sigh*
I'm for the reunion, btw, just without Ken.

Ooh, did you see Luke Goss in Hellboy 2, playing the badass Prince Nuada? He was SO EVIIIILLLLL. Loved him!
Also, Matt's doing rather well with his music lately - 'It's the End of the Road' being repetitively played as the 'leaving song' for the boys on So You Think You Can Dance had quite the hand in his revival, apparently!!
Go Bros!

Is Hellboy II gory/scary? I saw the first and thought it was okay, but the second looks too scary for me. Yes, Luke seems to have carved out a niche as a freaky baddie, which is odd since he's so very pretty.
Oh and I didn't realise Matt's song was still being used on that show (I've never seen it). That's good news. I think he's got a new album coming out soon...

This news has tickled me all week, I just can't believe they're 40. I still remember when they toured Australia and everyone went Bros-mental. They interviewed a fan on the telly and asked her, "Do you think Bros are a passing fad?" and she screeched "NOOOOOOOOOEEEE!* BROS ARE FOREVER!"
(Memo to Andrea - get back to work! :P )

I had an Australian penpal for a while (wouldn't it be funny if it was you!) and she sent me a video of their TV appearances - completely mental! :)
I think one of them was with Jono Coleman at Daaaarling Haaaarbour :)

They are sooo identical.

I think they're looking more alike as they're getting older, um, gay (or should I call you Mr chat?) ;)
