It’s really fun reading this around the actual World Cup; there are stories in the papers all the time about the football players and their families. You can’t help thinking they sound like the characters in the book! This is the third instalment of this series which follows the life of Amy Thornton. Thrust into the spotlight as the girlfriend of footballer Damien Taylor, Amy has to negotiate the ‘WAG’ lifestyle.
In book three of the WAGs' World series, Amy is less concerned with shopping for designer clothes and trying to fit in. She’s got her own line of fitness DVDs to work on and is concentrating on that as well as trying to find time for Damien.
…But the World Cup is on and Damien is on the England team. This fantastic opportunity means that Amy is even more in the spotlight, as she films her latest DVD in Spain where the footballers will also be, taking part in the greatest football tournament in the world.
Will the paparazzi get the better of her again? Are some old enemies at work against her? Or will Amy find her own way with the help of her twin friends Asha and Susi?
All of the series is really strong, you also don’t have to read the first two to pick this one up at all. Very nice summer, football read!
Review by Alexandra.
Also read Alexandra's review of the first book in the WAGs' World series, Playing the Game, and the second book, Knowing the Score.

Its definitely good you don't have to read the first two- as I saw this one in the library but no the others. I'll go and have a look- see f its still there :)

I don't really care about football at all and with the World Cup taking over the country, I don't think I'll let it invade my reading by reading this.
Great review, though!

I've actually just read the first two books and REALLY enjoyed them - and goodness knows I'm no football or WAG fan, but these books were just awesome! I can't wait to see how it all ends!

I don't really like all the WAG press but also enjoyed them. Sometimes it's good to have something different. I actually know who wrote the books but it's secret!

I have no interest in WAGs or football either so I probably wouldn't read any of these. Having said that, I've heard that 'Anonymous' writes some other pretty good stuff anyway!
