REVIEW: The Carrie Diaries by Candace Bushnell

After I posted about my teetering to-be-reviewed pile the other day, one of our fabulous regular Chicklish reviewers contacted me volunteering to take a book off my tower. Thank you very much, Tamika!

Carrie Bradshaw is a unique girl in a small town. One day, in their town of Castlebury, everyone at Carrie's school is talking about the new boy Sebastian. Carrie already knows Sebastian and is not too sure she likes what she sees, but his charms soon win her over. Carrie is thrust into a world of love and romance, curiosity and betrayal of friendship.

This book was amazing, and I felt a bit of myself in Carrie, which makes it relate a lot to teenage girls. I loved watching Carrie go through different fashion stages and relationships, and got annoyed at people in the book, showing how well Candace can describe the scenes.

The characters are very unique like Carrie, with their own subplots which are mysterious. Candace manages to give each character (of which their are quite a few) amazing personalities, and some turn out to be different to how they are portrayed. But, Carrie is still my favourite because she is so 'out there' and different.

I think girls who love a good girly romance and friendship will love this book. I give it 5 out of 5 stars :)

Ever since I first saw it on Sasha's blog- I've been dying!
