When scholarship students Amelia and Riley come to the distinguished Ashbury high, all the students are captivated by the puzzling mystique and talent of the distant couple. Everyone wants to know everything about them, and everybody has their different opinions on where Amelia and Riley came from. But what is the truth about their past...?
Written in the form of meeting transcripts, HSC Exams on the re-count of their terms, and blog posts, Dreaming of Amelia keeps you spellbound until the last page.
I recommend this book for girls aged 12-15, it is a brilliantly told story that captivates your mind and keeps you guessing on what is going to happen.
Each of the students are tested on what they believe in, the supernatural and friendship. Are Amelia and Riley really ghosts? With twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages, Dreaming of Amelia is one to buy today!Reviewed for Chicklish by Isme from the Book Slooth

I haven't read anything by Jaclyn Moriarty before. I probably should. Would this be one to start with, do you think?

I would suggest starting with one of the earlier Ashbury High books, Clover - I enjoyed re-visiting the characters I already knew when I read this! I don't think it's necessary, though. My absolute favourite Jaclyn Moriarty book is Finding Cassie Crazy, and the main characters from that book are all in Dreaming of Amelia too.
Thanks to everyone for the comments, on behalf of The Book Slooth too. (And thanks to Isme!)

I love this book! I hadn't read any of the other novels before reading it but I was totally hooked and now I want to read everything Jaclyn Moriarty has ever written. I also really love the unusual format.
