Get ready for a very emotional book. Because Bailey is already dead when the book starts, the poems Lennie writes throughout describe their relationship. It shows how close they were, and gives the reader more empathy. The poems are more like stories and conversations between the sisters.
I felt sorry for Lennie, as she has recently lost her loved one, and is suddenly thrust into a new world, feeling like a different person. You understand her, want to be there for her. I love the characters in this book, and some are quite funny - eccentric Uncle Big, caring Gram.
The book unveils many secrets, making you not want to put it down. I LOVE this book, couldn't stop reading it!
5/5!
