I know my name will probably appear at the top of the page that you’re on and you’ve probably read it already, but I have an overwhelming urge to introduce myself anyway. Hi, I’m Kate.
I remember when I was 5 years old, I decided to write a book. Considering 14 years on you haven’t heard of me, you’re right in assuming it wasn’t a bestseller. It was called “Cat and Mouse” and it later turned into a series. At the time I thought it was amazing and I even read it out to my class the next day, but when I look at it now I just see a string of words that together make no sense.
These days, I read depending on what mood I’m in and what I have on my TBR (To Be Read) pile. One mistake I did make one month was reading three books by Dean Koontz in a row. It got me a little paranoid.
Apart from thrillers, “teen trash” is a guilty pleasure of mine, with the Sweet Valley High series topping the pile. It never fails to amaze me how much can go wrong for the characters in Sweet Valley and it’s especially fun to spot the inconsistencies that the ghost writers didn’t research properly.
I also love paranormal books, especially ones with ghosts and witches in (not together, though if you know of any, let me know!) My love affair with paranormal books started when I read the T*Witches series by HB Gilmour and Randi Reisfeld. It took me a long time, but I finally managed to get the whole series after 7 years of searching. They’re very hard to find, but worth reading. I’d also like to make it clear at this point that the book series is very different from the Disney movies.
Anyway, that’s all I feel I need to say. I could go on, but I won’t. Hope you like my reviews!
