Alexandra: I
know, I know, I've interviewed you before. Very suspicious isn't
it? Saxby would be very curious as to what I'm up to...
Simon: Saxby is curious about most things - although, as his friends keep reminding him, he's still weirdly out-of-touch with what's hip and trendy.
Alexandra: I have noticed that. Luckily it doesn’t seem to halt his crime-fighting ability... Well, okay I admit it, I'm just checking that I'm going to have six more books to read now that I'm done with Book 6, Five Seconds to Doomsday?
Simon: Book 7 is out in October, but then there'll be a bit of a gap until book 8. Whether there'll be any more beyond that is entirely down to how well the whole series sells.
Alexandra: Do you think Saxby will ever have a crime he cannot solve?
Simon: Maybe, you never know. He's been almost defeated two or three times, so one day he might encounter a particularly sneaky opponent... Hmmm...
Alexandra: Hmmm indeed, there were definitely some sneaky ones in Five Seconds to Doomsday. He seems to get stressed when he’s close to defeat. I will keep my fingers crossed that it doesn’t happen!
