This is quite a unique idea. It's the story of Jonah, his sister Katherine and his friend Chip. At first they seem like ordinary teens. Jonah was adopted, but he has a great family and a nice stable life... until…yes, you guessed it… until now!
Out of the blue Jonah starts getting letters warning him that someone is coming back for him. He wonders what this means? When Chip starts to get the same notes and suddenly finds out he was also adopted they know they have to do some digging around. From here on in the book takes you on a mystery that changes subtly as it goes along.
The characters in this book are very realistic. Jonah’s tiffs with his sister perhaps a little overdone, but they still show how their family sticks together through thick and thin. No matter what faces them; they are in this together.
Sorry, I can’t tell you much about what happens as that will totally ruin the experience of reading it. I can tell you that it involves time-travel and the last third of the book is full of suspense, leading up to an exciting ending that leaves you desperate for book two. Definitely worth trying if you like a good mystery!
