Mia is ecstatic - she's been asked to the prom by Rob, the super-hot popular jock guy at Newbury High. But then Samantha decides he should be her prom date, and how can Mia compete with Miss Popularity herself? With magic, that's how. Unfortunately, the love spell ends up infecting the whole of her class with a zombie virus, and Mia is their queen. It could all go horribly wrong... unless Chase, the mysterious new boy, can help Mia to fix things in time for prom.
I absolutely loved this book! It was sweet and funny from the very first page, and I liked all the characters - fun Buffy-fan Mia, her hypochondriac best friend Candice, the serious Chase, the lovable Rob and even the fantastically mean Samantha, and Grace, who wishes she wasn't Mia's sister. The story swung brilliantly from crisis to crisis and never disappointed me. And did I mention it was funny? In fact, some parts were downright hilarious. There are certain images and lines still stuck in my mind now, a long time after reading it.
Feel-good, fun and utterly lovely - if you're a Buffy/Angel fan, or a zombie, or both, or neither, don't miss this one! Highly recommended.
