Kumari is back from the World Beyond, but there's a big crisis. The fires of Happiness are dying and the haze of Happiness is thin. Papa is sick and Kumari is struggling to with her Powers, whilst trying to avenge her Mamma. Worse, she's missing her friends back in the World Beyond, here she doesn't have any except for her cute baby vulture; Badmash. Will Kumari defeat the thieves who have stolen the Secrets of Happiness, will she avenge her Mamma and will she save the Kingdom?...
I loved this book, the whole idea of a girl goddess is brilliant to me. I really felt for Kumari, her Papa being sick, trying to avenge her Mamma and missing her friends back in the World Beyond. Especially, Chico. But what I like is that of all the problems that Kumari has, she can still have sense of humour. I like the new characters like: cool, collected Asha (who at first they were enemies) and cute, cheeky Tenzin. And of course, adorable Badmash (which means naughty) - I'd love to have a baby vulture like that! A funny, intruiging page-turner. I recommend it for EVERYONE! A must-read.
