Creepers is full-on excitement. The main characters share a pastime of running through back gardens of houses built close together. This is called Creeping and involves scaling fences to get to the next garden, avoiding obstacles like ponds, sheds and animals. This is all done at night when the home owners may be in – either in their gardens, or a short distance away in their homes where they may look out and see you Creeping.
The hero of this novel’s name is never used or mentioned. His ‘creeping’ buddy is Jamie and when one of their Creeps goes wrong, things begin to spiral out of control. Nothing prepares him for what comes next though – a disastrous fire that’s reported to have taken Jamie’s life – but has it? Or is Jamie still alive?
Entertaining, sharp characters, lots of fun.
