Susie Day is the author of the fabulous Big Woo!, reviewed by us here. Big Woo! is all about Serafina67's brilliant, funny and moving blog.
We asked Susie Day to tell us five things she loves about the Internet, and here are her answers:
Five
Things I Love About The Internet by Susie Day
1: The internet is where the funny people live. If I'm a bit glum, a smile is just a LOLcat away.
2: The internet is also where the clever people live. For every keysmashing txtspking gobbledegook merchant online, there's someone else writing smart, thought-provoking, insightful blogposts about their life. In sentences! With punctuation! (Remember: every time you misuse the apostrophe, a puppy dies.)
3: All that keysmashing gobbledegook is still totally WIN, though. Everyone's a writer these days. Communication > spelling. Making up stupid words = fun. I can squee, LOL and zomg while still hugging the apostrophe, k?
4: Online, I'm not a nerd. I'm just knowledgeable. :)
5: The internet doesn't care if I've got bedhair, a huge zit on my nose, and am still in my PJs. It doesn't care if you're not wearing the right shoes or what the label inside your T-shirt says. It only cares about what we think.
Thank you very much, Susie Day!
