I'm going to have to stop sounding surprised at each passing month, but really! Can it be April already?! Apparently so. And that means I have to announce the next three books.
I hope you've been enjoying the book club so far. I've enjoyed our discussions, even when we don't agree.
Find out what's coming up next over the cut.
April: The Dud Avocado by Elaine Dundy (classic fiction)
May: Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life by Amy Krouse Rosenthal (non-fiction)
June: The Good Life by Jay McInerney (fiction)

Hee! I'm clapping my hands and squealing over here (that's a good thing, although it may not look like it to the casual observer...)
I LOVED the first two on the list, and have been meaning to read another McInerney since I enjoyed This Is Your Life so much (what's with 'life' in all the titles, Jay?) so I've just ordered a 1p copy from Amazon in my excitement.
Good choices! :D

I'm looking forward to these three too, although I'm shocked to find that Leeds City Libraries doesn't have a single copy of The Dud Avocado! :o(

That's shameful, Wendy!
Do they have any 1p copies on Amazon?

Hi there!
Is it too late to join the book club? Have been browsing this site and looks fab and also great way to encourage me to ditch the trashy celeb mag evening addiction and actually read something stimulating (I have just realised that I haven't read a book cover to cover for 9 months - ps: I have a 9 month old baby boy.... :-) !).
Will try and see if I can get a copy of the Amy Krouse Rosenthal book from the library asap.....
Looking forward to joining in the debate and comments,
Devona
PS: Keris, stumbled across this site following the link from your blog, which is by the way, great and very inspiring (on a major note have decided to get myself sorted out w.r.t writing before my maternity leave finsihes and on a more indulgent note, have just signed up to the Graze boxes!)
