One-Line Bio

Voracious reader and compulsive writer.

Biography

My mum always claimed that, when she lived in America for a year, my dad wrote to her everyday and, in one of his letters, proposed. My dad denies this. But when she got back they got married anyway. In 1966 they emigrated to Canada. They'd wanted New Zealand, but it was full.

In 1971 I was born. In Winnipeg, Manitoba. And then, when I was four months old, they returned to the UK. Wallasey to be precise. It's on the Wirral. Opposite Liverpool.

When I was 18 I moved to London and when I was 24 I married David. The year after we got married David and I moved back "up north" to Manchester and we've been very happy here ever since.

Our son, Harry, was born on 25 June 2004 and is a complete and utter joy.

I've always loved writing, I've been writing stories for as long as I can remember. I've got one finished novel, FORGET ME NOT, which is currently looking for a publisher and a few unfinished novels, bits of which you can read here. I'd love to know what you think.

In 2005 I gave up my job to write full time, both fiction and non-fiction and have since had loads of articles published in national magazines. I'm loving it.
